Description:
Advocate for a Fiji that respects, protects, upholds, promotes and fulfills every rights and freedoms including holistic development of Fijian people of diverse sexual orientation and gender identities and expression
Projects:
(a) To advocate and promote the rights and wellbeing of peoples of diverse sexual orientation and gender identity and expression (SOGIE) which includes but is not limited to lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, intersex, queer and other sexuality, sex and gender diverse people hereinafter referred to as LGBTIQ.
(b) To reduce and eliminate acts of discrimination and disparities in development outcomes of LGBTIQ communities/individuals by:
working with various partners to increase access to quality health and other related social services
building capacity of members to advocate the rights and wellbeing of LGBTIQ
improving livelihoods of members through capacity building, training and workshops
promoting positive relations, integration and inclusiveness with the wider community, including public and private sector, community, voluntary and faith based organisations, in order to break down barriers and encourage community cohesion
raising funds for and/or promoting research to increase strategic information available on LGBTIQ as well as developing innovative programs aimed at promoting community awareness of LGBTIQ rights and development issues
promoting the objects and activities of the Company by the publication and distribution of papers, journals, leaflets and advertising in any medium or by any means thought desirable
