What Do Gay Men Have to Say About Female Condoms?

Published: July 20, 2011

The Female Condom (FC) Access Working Group is conducting a survey to determine people’s attitudes, access, and use of female condoms.

Female condoms are also referred to as FCs, FC2s, Reality, internal, or receptive partner condoms. Female Condoms are used by men, women, and transpeople for anal and vaginal sex to protect against sexually transmitted infections, HIV, and unplanned pregnancy.  This survey is intended for people of all genders and sexual orientations who have engaged in anal or vaginal sex at least once in the last 12 months. The survey takes approximately 10 minutes to complete.

Because female condoms are a prevention tool that can be used by diverse individuals, it is important that survey feedback reflects this diversity. We are particularly interested in hearing more from the gay male/MSM community. No identifying information is requested or recorded. Survey results will help the Female Condom Access Working Group to improve community education, availability, and access to female condoms.
