Ugandan LGBTI activist's home torched

MambaOnline and Behind the Mask are reporting the torching of a gay activist’s house while he was trapped inside. The activist, Najib Kabuye apparently lived in the Kampala suburb of Nabweru. The police are not ruling out anti-gay sentiment as a reason for the crime.

Curiously, this terrible news is just making the rounds in the gay circles in Uganda, a whole eight days after the event. It was only yesterday that it was posted on the Facebook page the Ugandan gay community set up to communicate precisely this sort of news as quickly as possible!
