SYDNEY: The Sydney Sexual Health Centre (SSHC) has revamped its web presence and has launched a a new interactive site that will offer online self-assessment tools to allow users to confidentially determine their level of risk for STIs.

The user-friendly website will also provide specific information for SSHC’s primary target groups, including men who have sex with men, sex workers, young people under 25, indigenous people, people living with HIV/AIDS as well as injecting drug users.

Director of SSHC, Associate Professor Anna McNulty, said that through the website SSHC patients and members of the general public will be able to access information on SSHC services as well as learn about safe sex practices and view general sexual health information.

”This internet-based resource will enable individuals from any location, including regional and remote settings, to obtain sexual health information as well as finding important links to appropriate statewide services,” McNulty said.

Meanwhile, SSHC has also announced that it has received plenty of positive feedback over its Xpress Clinic services, which offer regular sexual health checks for people at high risk of having STIs but who are not displaying any obvious STI symptoms.
