An annual series of human rights events is held every spring since 2007 in major Russian cities to raise awareness on violation of LGBT rights and combat prejudice. This year’s Week runs from March, 29 til April, 7, relaunched by independent LGBT groups after suspension by its hosting organization.

Moscow, St. Petersburg and other Russian cities are hosting the annual awareness campaign “Week Against Homophobia, Biphobia and Transphobia.” This year, the main slogan of the Week is “We’re talking about love, not sex.”
LGBT organizations and groups arrange lectures, panel discussions, legal and psychological seminars, exhibitions and concerts, as well as several public events.
