Liberia: Condoms Compatible Lubricants Campaign Launched in Liberia

 Over hundred stakeholders, including representatives of the Government of Liberia (GoL), the United Nations System and Civil Society Organizations are expected to participate in a one-day national consultation launching the Global Lube Mobilization (GLAM) Project and discuss Condom Compatible Lubricants (CCL) access relative to the prevention of HIV and AIDS.

 
The consultation meeting is being held today, Thursday, August 15, 2013 in the Conference Room of the Ministry of Health & Social Welfare on Capitol Bye-Pass from 10:00am to 12:00pm. The national consultation on CCL is being organized by Stop AIDS In Liberia (SAIL) in collaboration with the National AIDS Commission (NAC).
 
This consultation is being sponsored by the AIDS Foundation of Chicago (AFC) and the Foundation for AIDS Research (amfAR). This campaign is meant to make condoms and lubricants available to key populations.
 
SAIL is a non-for-profit organization (NGO) established in 1998 under the laws of the Republic of Liberia. The Mission of SAIL is to contribute to the reduction of the spread of HIV through Human Rights advocacy, treatment education, prevention program, care provision and support of PLWHIV and other vulnerable groups; including key population especially sexual minorities. The Vision of SAIL is an aids free society without any form of discrimination; helping Liberians to live healthier and happier lives.
