At least three people on the side lines of the Bacchanal road march were injured late this afternoon after alleged homosexuals and others clashed in a running battle from West King’s House Road to Constant Spring Road in St Andrew.

Scores of people attending the road march had to scamper after they took objection to a group of men dancing with each other in a sexually suggestive manner.

As the people objected to the men gyrating on each other, a missile-throwing exchange started.

One woman who was a bystander had to be rushed to hospital after she was hit in the face with a stone.

The melee continued for about half an hour as the alleged gay men retaliated.

The incident also forced people in The Springs shopping plaza to scamper.

The incident took on an uglier tone when the alleged gay men pulled bottles with a substance they claimed was acid.

The police who were part of the march had to call for reinforcement.

Soon after, explosions resembling the sound of gunshots were heard and the gay men ran onto Eastwood Park Road.
