Core Values and Principles
FJN+ has a set of shared core values and principles that un-derpin how FJN+ operates. FJN+ encourages collabora-tion and strives to work in partnership to promote the meaningful involvement of people living with HIV and/or AIDS in the response to the HIV epidemic. Tolerance, equality, empathy, compas-sion and respect towards others are core values of the organization, which facilitate commitment and dedication of staff, members and volun-teers in working to support the needs of PLHIV and their families.
FJN+ has been a member of the National Advisory Com-mittee on AIDS (NACA) since 2004 and participates in planning and decision-making processes of NACA.
FJN+ has participated at both national and interna-tional conferences and meetings both as an NGO and as a member of the gov-ernment delegation.
At community level, FJN+ has worked with over 60 communities around Fiji in the last two years with in-
formation about HIV, hu-manizing HIV infection, pro-moting VCCT and encourag-ing support for People Liv-ing with HIV through Step-ping stones, Life Skills and HIV 101 Training.
