If the latest figures are to be believed, there is a dip in HIV cases among men who have sex with men (MSM), in the state and city. According to figures of the Maharashtra State AIDS Control Society (MSACS), the HIV prevalence rate among MSM between April and September this year was 0.25 per cent, while the rate between April 2013 to March 2014 was 0.4%.

It has shown great results in terms of understanding the behaviour of high risk categories like intravenous drug users and males having sex with males," said a MSACS official.
