The German NGOs INISA, Umdenken & Amnesty International–Queeramnesty will organize the a conference on “Homophobia in Africa“ to look into the causes of the discrimination of sexual minorities in Africa.
It will also allow the use of case studies to examine how local and international activists can fight for the rights of sexual minorities.
The conference, schedled to take place in Hamburg on the 13th September 2012 will include speakers like Rita Schäfer who will present societal causes for homophobia using the example of Uganda.
Eva Range will talks about an anti-hate crime campaign in the Republic of South Africa.
