A Training for Health Care Providers Working with Men who have Sex with Men and Transgender Persons

The aim of this 17-module training course is to assist health care providers in the sexual health care of men who have sex with men and transgender people in Asia. The modules are designed to be led by a facilitator and may be taught over the course of several days or across several weeks.
Course Objectives

At the end of the course, it is expected that participants will:
    •    Understand the need for training on the health care needs of MSM and TG
    •    Understand the scope of men’s sexual health care needs
    •    Explore the complexity of sexuality issues and further demonstrate a commitment to the training
    •    Understand the complexity of MSM and TG lives and the need for further training, reflection, and discussion
    •    Explain the clinical principles and steps to STI syndromic management in MSM and TG persons
    •    Outline how clinicians can implement steps to reorient the clinic setting to improve the quality of health care received by MSM and TG persons
